CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – 23 MAY 2021

We are now over one year into the pandemic. The confusion and fear of early 202o and early 2021 is fading as the vaccination program has it’s effects.

Nevertheless, we must all be on our guard against complacency, which could cost lives; the virus can still kill vulnerable people, who for whatever reason have reduced immunity or, who are ill with pre-existing conditions.

Our attendance to complete your survey or specialist repairs is dependent of the day-to-day situation and the specific conditions at your home, as well as our team’s too.

Provided we are fit and healthy and you (or your household) have no known infection and no vulnerable people in attendance, we can and will do our best to help you. Social distancing is crucial and MUST be maintained. We take action to protect you during the survey or work, wearing face coverings and applying 2m social distancing too. We cannot accept a cuppa though (which is a shame as we love tea).

Wall tie surveys in particular can be carried out without entering your home, so in most cases we can complete wall ties surveys now. Damp and timber surveys and internal repairs like lateral restraint work requires us to enter the house, so together, we must risk assess and decide on the safest and sensible action.

Thank you for your patience. Please email the office or leave an answerphone message and we’ll call/email you back promptly. We fully staffed in the office.

Stay safe and well. Have hope; the vaccination program and the wonderful scientists behind it seem to have the virus on the run now – life will return to normality before too long.
